Filmmaker Statement

As a graduate student pursuing a Master of Fine Arts in Directing for Film and Television at the Savannah College of Art and Design, I am deeply inspired by the power of storytelling and its capacity to connect people. My foundational understanding of film, developed through my Bachelor’s degree in Film and Television at Fordham University, combined with my freelance videography experience for public schools and sports broadcasting, fuels my passion for capturing authentic narratives that resonate within our communities. At SCAD, I am honing my directing skills in a creative environment that encourages innovation. My goal is to create engaging stories that not only entertain but also inspire meaningful conversations. I aspire to mentor future filmmakers, sharing my knowledge and experiences while continuously exploring the complexities of human experience. With the skills I am gaining, I look forward to contributing fresh perspectives to the film and television industry.
