This film is inspired by a true story. The world is evolving at a speed that no one can keep up with. Especially in the western world, dwelling on something seems to be wrong. Everything must be done as quickly and efficiently as possible. We must have a good reason to do what we do. The joys of life have to be “earned”, while sometimes we forget that they are always around us. The speed at which the world is developing cannot be stopped, but the way you experience it can. The Japanese religion of Shintoism is a wonderful example of this and can bring about this realisation in people. It does not believe in right or wrong and does not disapprove of other religions. What it does disapprove of is not caring for nature, others and yourself. We believe that the beliefs and mindset of Shintoism can offer a way out for those who cannot keep up with the speed of the Western world. With this film we hope to show those people that things can be done differently.
