Filmmaker Statement

My father, a Soviet officer, fought in Afghanistan. And my mother too. There they met. And I was born thanks to that war, which became one of the reasons for the breakdown of the giant Soviet Machine. It was always strange for me. The beginning of that 10-year war was laid by the then Secretary General of the USSR Leonid Ilyich Brezhnev. He died on November 10, not living to the end of this war, but leaving the whole country alone with it. Thousands of soldiers and officers. They carried out the so-called "international duty". The meeting of the characters in my film takes place exactly on this day when they begin to realize what truly matters in life.
