As a first generation Cuban-American, I'm often faced with the conflicting nature of what it means to be a citizen in this country. I was born in Miami, FL but my family and many of my closest friends immigrated to the US from Cuba. Identity and patriotism are two themes that resonate with the stories of many Latinx immigrants. My reflections on this subject is what inspired this short film.
