Filmmaker Statement

I decided to make Sea Sparkles for a number of reasons: to show myself that I could, and would make it, to try and understand why it is that I go back and forth with my decisions (or used to) and to create a timeless moment in which two contrasting perspectives on life find each other and discover a third perspective, a new point of view. Sea Sparkles brings together three of my favorite universes: midnight conversations, everything queer, and inner journeys. My hope is that you will enjoy this short film’s delicate demeanor and that you will come away from it with the following question: Am I seeing what I’m seeing because it is so, or because I’m seeing it from where I’m seeing it?
