Filmmaker Statement

In this short film, I want to share my story of growing up in a creative environment and not feeling good enough to fit in with it. I want to demonstrate how vulnerabilities may be used to one's advantage and how, in some circumstances, society is either drawn to confidence rather than quality or that people no longer care what they consume. As long as it’s different and the number of likes or followers is high enough, it has to be good. In order to have an impact on the world or at least my surroundings, I want this film to raise issues around the use of social media and its relationship to creativity.
