Filmmaker Statement

I’ve been creating video content since I was 13. When I transitioned from food videos to cinematography, I directed a short film for my school that became a finalist in a major competition. A year later, I wanted to create something superior—an independent, high-quality work made with a dedicated team rather than amateurs. Thus, Ocean Dream was born. Before production, we had a very small budget. I went to FujiFilm, and they gave me new X-H2s; Torkarm provided support through an film cart. With their help, we comfortably completed the shoots. We then wrote a way-out poem on top. Combining images with the poem to create meaning was quite risky for a 16-year-old director. But it yielded great results, and since 2023, we've screened at over 10 prestigious film festivals worldwide. We gave many people an unforgettable 5 minutes about water. Now at 18-19, looking back, we see we've done better than 90% of 16-year-old filmmakers. We're just starting out. We won't forget Ocean Dream.
