Filmmaker Statement

I’m never able to find the right words when I talk about this film - making it has been the deepest labor of love, bound together by a handful of college students eager to tell a story that mattered. As students, we did the best we could with what we had – I’m proud to say everything in frame is there by design - through months of research and collaboration with a skilled team and incredible trans women who wanted to share their stories, for whom I am forever grateful. ~MAE
