Filmmaker Statement

I produced this short documentary as my graduation project in the fall semester of 2021, as I was receiving my bachelor's degree in journalism from Jacksonville University in April 2022. I wanted to produce something that is very close to my heart, and as international student myself I had experienced many positive but also some negative encounters in the United States. I want to show the audience what it is like to move to the other side of the world by yourself, how the people around us impact our lives and our experiences there, and how this forms our personality and opinions.
