Omar & Jade is an intimate study of silence, longing, and the invisible minefields that build between two people who once believed love would be enough. I wanted to sit with those quiet fractures—the spaces between words, the gestures that say more than conversation ever could. The film lives in tension between memory and the present: Omar reaches for what was, Jade yearns for a happiness that feels impossible with who’s in front of her. Both are right, both are wrong, and that clash becomes the emotional terrain they navigate. Stylistically, I leaned into the small negotiations of domestic life, where simple moments carry the weight of what’s unsaid. It reflects a broader truth about relationships today: we are always shifting, outgrowing versions of ourselves and of each other. Love, at times, is less about holding on to who someone was than choosing who they are now.
