Filmmaker Statement

I was thinking a lot about invisible barriers; the things we don’t want to see and people we’d rather not have to think about. Everyone who lives in a city has these invisible barriers and they use them as protection. Life can be transactional. Friendships and sex can be transactional...a trade-off from loneliness. But sex has the possibility to open up intimacy, if the two people are ready for it. These two characters are ready. But then their roles in the outside world, where they carry around these invisible barriers, comes crashing back. When they see each other in their daily lives, can their intimacy survive? For sure it takes a strength of will and bravery. But it’s worth it to feel that connection.
