Oyster is a love letter to my mother - a tormented artist finding solace in her own solitude. Throughout my life, she has been the driving force behind my artistic pursuits, igniting my passion and nurturing my talents with unwavering support. However, the broken marriage between my parents has cast a long shadow over my childhood. It has been a constant reminder of the fragility of relationships and the profound impact it can have on those involved. In the wake of this emotional turmoil, Oyster emerged as a cathartic creation—an embodiment of my own journey through trauma. The thing about art is, like an oyster that forms a pearl around an irritant, you get to transform pain and anguish into something beautiful. Within the delicate layers of Oyster's narrative, I explore the complexities of human emotion, the resilience of the human spirit, and the transformative power of art. It serves as a testament to the strength and the ability to find beauty in the midst of chaos.
