Filmmaker Statement

In 2001 I set out to make my first film, an autobiographical cinema verite piece based on my experiences trying to write an article about Paris graffiti for, a hip-hop magazine called Mass Appeal. We did incredible work, including cinematography by a young and talented Ari Issler (The Outsider, White Lotus). Unfortunately due to costs and a contentious relationship with my main actor, the film never saw the light of day... until now. Recently I was so fortunate enough to reconnect with my main actor, repair the bridge and get permission to re-release this short....24 years later. It is still a statement and feeling that I need to say, even after all of these years.
