Filmmaker Statement

I often wonder where the line is drawn in terms of inspiration vs. imitation. The lead character in this film literally plagiarizes the face of a more famous actor and eventually takes over his whole life. The plagiarist claims he didn't do it intentionally, however, can we believe that? And does that even matter? I'm a huge fan of the short films of Kristoffer Borgli and Yorgos Lanthimos, and I felt that a darkly comedic satire was a fun way to tell this story. I hope you enjoy!
