Filmmaker Statement

This short was made by film students at Pace University NYC as part of an assignment for their Aesthetics of Motion Picture class, taught by film Professor Frank Martinelli. The assignment called for a short that represented a social problem that reflected the lives of college students today, but the class was not allowed to use dialogue in their film. The students had to come up with the creative loopholes necessary to include a commercial for the gum product in the film, while still delivering a powerful message to the audience. Thanks to the lack of dialogue in the film, the theme can be understood and appreciated by any generation in any country in the world.
