What can be more terrifying than becoming the person you fear the most? I believe that our truest selves can only be brought forth during a moment of crisis. When we, as people, are pushed beyond our own emotional limits and are forced to make a crucial decision. Do you lash out? Do you retreat? Do you seek help? Do you self-destruct? Inspired by my own experiences, I sought to create a story that centered on the anxieties we feel when we repeat our old, toxic habits, and the terror we experience when we feel we’re stuck turning into the people we fear the most. I wanted this film to challenge viewers by asking if navigating pain brings us closer to the people we truly are, or does it push us to the people we are meant to become? Is that person inherently good, or profoundly evil? I hope viewers can reflect on their own characters after watching this film and promote positive change in their own lives, or at least have a song or two stuck in their heads. Daniel Andres Blanco
