Filmmaker Statement

Pulp is a story that speaks to the challenges of the generational divide between us and our parents; of the frustrations that come with not being able to communicate effectively while navigating the pressures and expectations of our communities. This is a mother daughter story, but it's also a universal idea about reaching for connections. About how we can bridge those gaps in our lives through unconventional ways. I hope people see themselves in this film, and it helps push these stories into the light.
