Quadripartite emerged from a dance-based exploration of the ancient South Asian board game Chaupar (also known as Pachisi or Ashte Kashte), popularized as the game "Sorry" in America. The movement blends classical South Asian dance with ballet, creating a contemporary dance vocabulary representative of the diaspora. The film questions the Brahminical dominance over classical Indian dance forms, and invites non-Indians and non-dancers to learn about the history and culture.
