Filmmaker Statement

As a gay guy living in Brooklyn, I'm fascinated by the fetishization of queerness I sometimes see among straight people. All of us, in one way or another, have a desire to be "different." I wanted to make a movie that explores that desire to an absurd degree, where we cling to labels so intensely they start to lose their meaning, and in our desire to be different, we end up being just like everybody else.
