Filmmaker Statement

Hi, my name is Sarah B. Jacobs and I am excited to show you Reservation for Tam O'Shanter. Our comedy short has been mistaken for a drama, since it involves tense situations between coworkers exploring what it means to forgive someone in the moment. Can enough cold logic bring a resolution that truly lets someone off the hook? Ultimately, it's a lighthearted comedy I wrote and directed, casting some of my favorite comedic actors in Los Angles, shot with Panavision lenses in a beautiful apartment in DTLA. I wanted to create a small portal into a world that puts being civilized to the test. I think we achieved a nice balance of laughter and food for thought. -Sarah B. Jacobs
