Filmmaker Statement

As a science fiction enthusiast, I believe that the best sci-fi stories are those that effortlessly integrate futuristic elements into the emotional narrative, creating a truly immersive experience for the viewer. The sci-fi elements should enhance the emotional content of the story, rather than being a mere distraction. Despite facing numerous challenges as a student production, I'm incredibly proud of my short film for achieving this balance. It was an honor to have three US Air Force veterans star in the film, adding an extra layer of authenticity to the production. As a filmmaker, authenticity is always one of my top priorities when creating a short film. I strive to ensure that every aspect of the production, from the casting to the set design, is true to life, enabling the audience to fully connect with the story and characters.
