This script, from my friend Cian McGarrigle landed on my lap at just the right time - when I was leaving my old life as an Art Director to just be a Director. It combines all the things that interest me - it's an exploration of Irish country life, a critique of the Disney hero and damsel narrative tropes, but using the sci-fi genre to tell it in an interesting, weird way. And most importantly it was riotously funny, engaging and I knew it would be a good time for a viewing audience.
