Filmmaker Statement

“Saint of Lost Causes”, believe it or not, is a culmination of true stories. Between family history and a side gig as a dog walker, this TV pilot was made to be personal to both my family and the audience. The script was handed to me as a college graduation gift by my uncle, Jay Dayrit. Despite breaking every rule in the 3 Dont’s List, no children, no animals, no night-shoots, I managed to pull this film together with the help of some friends and locally sourced actors. As a filmmaker, I am drawn to forces of greater power. I was adamant about the presence of a supernatural figure to loom throughout the film; Bigfoot. I will continue to make spiritual films that are both personal and entertaining.
