Filmmaker Statement

This is a light-hearted film that serves a love/hate letter to the older brother younger sister relationship. I feel this type of relationship is very uncommon to see in films, and I would like the audience to ponder what “sibling love” really is. One of the most influential relationships that a girl has is the one with her brother, because it ends up influencing her relationship with all men in the future. As children the idea of gender doesn’t quite exist yet, but it still is there and how this manifests in childhood can greatly effect the future. This story is one of a young girl learning to become a bit more independent from her brother, and is the beginning of her coming into her own.
