Filmmaker Statement

Representation on screen and in the arts is always a matter of urgency, in my opinion, as stories can serve as powerful instruments of esteem. The central character of my pilot Say It Louder is black woman, a scholar, and thinker, who is committed to using her life as an instrument for increasing Black pride.With this work and many other future works, I hope to certainly have the opportunity to introduce characters and a setting that greatly expands the current landscape.
