Filmmaker Statement

The activity of skateboarding has by the nature of it brought many benefits to everyday life. The foundation of learning to skate requires hours, days of repetition for a short pay off when you land that trick which lasts only a couple seconds. But through that you carry the discipline to never give up and always persist in other aspects of life. With that character trait I wanted to present that through an animated character who may appear stubborn in his journey to land a trick, but ultimately it represents the spirit of never giving up.
