How do you be there for someone when you can't be there? “Shift” explores how isolation affects the psyche of Sarah, a nurse and mother struggling with feelings of guilt for her chosen profession. The ongoing collapse of various healthcare systems around the world and the immense strain it has put on healthcare workers cannot be understated. There is also a more personal theme of how caring for those you love can be difficult and confusing, but ultimately, worthwhile. Even as things look bleaker and bleaker, we must hold on to the people we love as best we can.
