My name is Oscar Jordan. I’m a veteran actor and writer who drank too much coffee one day and felt compelled to write, produce, and finance a short film in three months. Sick Money emerged from my love of film noir, ‘60s crime novels, and the plethora of Dad roles I’ve had to read written by millennials trying to work out their daddy issues. I hand-picked a strong crew and wielded a forthright artistic vision only maturity brings. Over the past 40 years, I’ve worked with directors as diverse as Ted Demme, Charles Shyer, Percy Adlon, Rob Reiner, Stephen Herek, and Robert Mandel. Sick Money was shot in black and white and leans into stark grittiness, anguish, and fear. It asks, “Is blood thicker than danger?” We nailed it, and I hope you love Sick Money as much as we do.
