Filmmaker Statement

We were bored during covid. We wanted an excuse to use our talents coming our of covid. We wanted to get the most out of renting a grip truck, so we might as well stage a fight inside it. We wanted to see a silly Ted Lasso version of superheroing instead of more gritty The Boys/Snyderverse fare. Our core inspiration came from Taika Watiti – less from Thor and more the ridiculous world of vampires he built. We really enjoyed the idea of world-building how adjusting to normal life could be when living in amongst heroes. Capturing buddy comedy chemistry was key, in front and behind the camera, and if we had our way we'd make a dozen more of these.
