Filmmaker Statement

I spent many years making films for other people, but I finally realized that I needed to make movies FOR ME, or I would burn out. This fake trailer (or proof-of-concept) comes out of that need. I've been skateboarding since I was a teenager and a fan of horror and grindhouse trailers for even longer. So despite the teaser being only a minute long, I threw everything I had at it with the money, or lack thereof, that we had. We had planned to shoot this fake trailer just before the pandemic but not only did COVID-19 shut us down, our star was in a traumatic motorcycle accident that he is still recovering from. For nearly two years, I thought the idea was dead but it kept playing in the back of my mind. We shot the trailer with no money, as per usual, and a lot of volunteers who were passionate about skating, horror... or both. Hope you enjoy watching it as much as we enjoyed shooting it, and this gets you excited to watch a flick that doesn't exist. Later, skaters!
