Filmmaker Statement

This film was done on negative dollars. I had no clue how to even properly operate a cinema camera at the time. I lacked technique. I lacked experience. The batteries in the lav died. I gave up after the flight shoot. Months later I setup an interview. A year after that I got depressed and nearly lost everything. Six months after that I ended up working on a boat in Alaska. Three months after that I sat down on my computer and cranked out this edit. Armen's story still inspires me.
