Soup D’Jour is the result of a poem I wrote early morning in a diner in New York City being turned into a screenplay. The story follows a man, of different ages and ethnicities, throughout difficult moments without resolve. Each man, playing the same character, represents the universal feeling of being alone. The vignettes follow moments where I felt broken without hope to be fixed, and how eventually, a bowl of soup provided the comfort that I desperately needed.
