Filmmaker Statement

There’s a hard truth in the story of “Talentless” that will resonate with anyone who’s ever passionately followed their dreams. For nearly twenty years, I’ve had a corporate day job in Advertising and spent my nights and weekends pursuing my dream of screenwriting and directing. So I know firsthand what the eternal debate between security and creative freedom feels like. We’ve all been in Lucy’s shoes. We’ve felt the sting of rejection. The exhaustion from the constant hustle of trying to break in. The fear of having to choose between providing for our family or pursuing the one thing that makes us feel alive. Years of my own internal debate created the foundation for this story. For me, this truly is a passion project.
