Filmmaker Statement

Since moving to Utah, Great Salt Lake has been a large topic of discussion. Some people want to address the issue, and others want to avoid thinking about it at all costs. Most people don't spend much time at the lake. It can be hot, smelly, and filled with bugs, but if you can get past that, it truly is a beautiful and important place worth saving. After finding Mary Anne Karren on Instagram, I knew I wanted to work with her to make a film to bring more attention to this situation and continue the conversation about finding ways to save the lake.
