Filmmaker Statement

'The Cat' began life as an illustration series that I created during the first lockdown to, respectively, impress a boy and to maintain my sanity. While I failed at both of my original aims, the project grew into the series of animated shorts 'The Cat and Other Distractions', reflecting on isolation, civil decay, and neurodiversity through the lens of petty grudges held against various cats, estate agents, and neighbourhood sex offenders.
