For as long as I can remember I've experienced an acute awareness of death lurking in the doorway of every room of life. Sometimes I find it extraordinary that people keep pushing on with their lives so faithfully in this knowledge. And yet, when you lose someone it can really wake you up to the majestic power of everything. The very fact of its mutability is also what makes life so beautiful...it's the bittersweet, it is at the core of rapture, awe and arguably why we care about anything at all. There is a long historical, literary and mythical association between death and desire and this theme is central to what I am striving to explore in this short film. I’m fascinated by these paradoxes and by non-duality as a concept in general - the non-binary is queer by nature and so creating an LGBT narrative to explore these themes made sense to me. I hope you enjoy it. ps: it has only been seen online within festival programmes for short spells
