Filmmaker Statement

The House of Brick and Stone arose from my country's youth angst. For young people in this country, the future appeared grim; we had never had competent leaders to whom we could look up and have our interests protected. As a product of such a questionable upbringing, I began to see the whole thing as a long and elaborate joke.
