Filmmaker Statement

I spent an entire year making this film. It is a surreal goopy film, but at its core it is a film about self doubt. Especially during the Covid lockdown I really started to question myself as an artist and as a filmmaker. For so long I had always just made what I was told to make because it's my job. In my entire career had I ever actually made a creative choice of my own? Or do I just call myself a filmmaker to feel special? These are some of the doubts about myself I was starting to feel. So I wanted to make a film that could visualize what I was feeling and also tell that story. It is definitely one of the hardest things I've done, but I am so glad that I did.
