Filmmaker Statement

As a filmmaker, I’ve always loved to create films about any unique and important events that have influenced my life. Right now, I'm a student at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City and I wanted to preserve the memories of how my life was during these two years I've been studying there. I wanted to show how life is as an actor in a conservatory, not just my experience but to also tell the story of other students. I based the characters of the short film on my friends and other students I’ve been around. The camera follows us around the building to our Musical Theatre classes, through tap and jazz dance rehearsal, passes through our audition’s waiting room, and the self-tapes recording until the real audition. Throughout the piece, every student invites you to discover them a little more with a song. Take the time to dive into this great experience and let us surprise you with this performance.
