Filmmaker Statement

I wanted to make a visceral, cinematic horror film set against a world of total darkness. The Pulsing Dark was a challenge I gave myself – to tell a scary, exciting story without dialogue, without traditional lighting, and using visual effects I taught myself from scratch. The goal was simple: create something intense and atmospheric using limited tools, and lean into darkness not just as a mood, but as the monster itself.
