Filmmaker Statement

I’ve been making movies since the 7th grade, when I first got my hands on a Super-8 camera. In recent years, I’ve devoted much of my energy to freelance video production and post-production — not to mention raising a family — but screenplays and shorts have always played an integral part of my creative life. “The Sandwich” is my most ambitious film project to date. I wrote a script that really seemed to connect with people, then worked with a casting agent in Boston to find the perfect actors, Gene Amoroso and John Potvin, to play the leads. The shoot was exhilarating, the actors incredible — and the result is a funny and offbeat work that I’m really proud of.
