'You are not your thoughts', is a concept that has helped me through so much. If there is one thing I could impart on others, it would be that message, and to me, meditation is the practice of constantly bringing you out of your h after moving from my hometown in Perth, Western Australia to London, UK, and in the process breaking a girl's heart, which really haunted me after the fact, there were things I wish I could've done differently. The whole film was inspired by one voice note she sent me the morning I was flying out. It was raw and vulnerable and made me feel all kinds of emotions, and a huge way I dealt with it was through meditation and bringing myself out of thought loops and into the present moment. For me, meditation is the practice of bringing your awareness back to the present moment and getting you out of your head. Once you are aware of where your attention is being placed, you can bring yourself back to the here and now where 99% of the time you will find peace.
