Filmmaker Statement

I was initially inspired by my experience as a commuter in London where I worked in financial research during my university placement year. Whilst commuting inevitably means being surrounded by others, I was struck by the isolation I felt. The storyline developed through a hard- working senior co-worker who was always the first person to arrive and the last person to leave work each day. I imagined that he had sacrificed friends and family for his job and that he sometimes dreamed of a different life-work balance.
