Filmmaker Statement

Hello, my name is Ryan Collins, and I grew up the child of a Marine. My Father, who spent years in war, fighting against death everyday he was out there. He has seen things he would never tell his kids, and I thank him for that because I don’t know if I’ll ever be ready to hear some of those things. But that got me thinking about the ugly truth of war. There is a quote that I mention in the script and it is, “Everyone has a chapter they won’t read out loud.” This film is about that chapter. It's the story no man will repeat to his loved ones because no one deserves to live out that nightmare. It is about how every story has two different perspectives. It is about finding common ground in the mist of bloodshed, it is about brotherhood.
