Filmmaker Statement

The beginning of this work came through the discipline of "Montage" at the University of Fortaleza (UNIFOR), oriented by professor Lis Paim. This activity gave us the freedom to experiment with a new method of making a film, relying on images and videos on the internet, without financial costs. At first I (Évelyn) and the whole team thought about bringing the idea of technology entering our lives. Many times we are not present in some places, even though we are there. With the arrival of the internet and more advanced electronic devices our view of the world changed, and this includes our memories, one of our best aspects as humans. Besides, we use the concept of liminal space to approach the relationship between space and the individual. Knowing that this concept reveals empty environments with a psychological and nostalgic horror content, we thought it would be a good idea to bring it into the short film.
