Filmmaker Statement

Toast the Ghost is our celebration of Halloween. It is meant as a social experience, to be enjoyed by groups of friends either virtually (through Zoom meetings during the pandemic), or in-person in healthier, happier times. We break the fourth wall and tell some famous ghost stories, some personal ghost stories, as well as some little known facts about Halloween - which is so misunderstood by so many people these days. Toast the Ghost is a film adaptation of our very successful stage play of the same name. With the Covid-19 quarantine around us, we shot this movie with a skeleton crew (pun intended), one actor at a time, in two locations in approximately twelve days. So now, we invite you to pour a glass of something festive, be it a soft drink or spirit, sit back and enjoy our holiday offering, and when we hear a bell chime, we encourage you to raise your glass and toast the ghost.
