Filmmaker Statement

When an artist bares all as the lead character Penny Preciou$ does in $TRIP, I think the point is how that act connects to the audience. Does it make them angry, make them sad, turn them on, all three at once? If $TRIP works as I hope, it will take the viewer on a journey that makes them question their own role in the process of what happens to girls like Penny and make them ask “What makes people go as far as they do?”
