Filmmaker Statement

I wrote and directed this film after hearing that a police officer almost beat a family member due to racial profiling. Following that incident, my community suffered a significant loss at the hands of the police, humiliated because it was displayed for the world to see. Now, after serving ten years in a country's military and getting out and seeing that the actions of those who wear the uniform aren't being held accountable hurts me. It also pushed me to blend those emotions to show what that dynamic would feel like within the homes of those suffering the most from this injustice and accountability issue.
