Filmmaker Statement

Vance and the Afterlife is a passion project that I wrote after reading an article about various people who had near-death experiences who all saw their own "afterlives" based on who and what they believed in. Essentially implying that when you die, you see what you have prepared in your own imagination. This got me thinking... what if you were someone who had no imagination? What if you were a corporate stiff who valued money over creativity, spirituality, and meaningful connections? As a person who has experienced the drudges and bureaucracy of the corporate world for the last 13 years, I can honestly say that this short film means more to me than a 7% year-over-year revenue increase.
