Filmmaker Statement

Christopher Prud’homme is a young director from Montreal who aims to explore genre films in a different way, with a more subtle and poetic approach. In 2020, he quits the world of special effects after more than 4 years to pursue his passion for directing. He followed a formation on the technical aspects of cinema at the Grasset Institute in 2020-21 before being admitted into UQÀM's film production program, which he quickly left to focus on his projects. His past experience in the VFX world is an asset for his more sci-fi & fantasy oriented projects as he is skilled with modifying and adding elements to source images. Although he currently does his own writing, editing and in fact almost all post-production work, he wishes to focus solely on directing in the future. His inspirations come from every art forms, notably music and literature.
